Peace Direct Training Course In Nairobi

This is a sponsored organizational post

Peace Direct is an award winning, international NGO supporting local people in some of the most challenging conflict environments worldwide. We work with local people, supporting their local efforts to stop war and build long term peace.

From 22-26 October 2018 we are hosting an interactive training course in Nairobi. This will bring together 16-20 practitioners and NGO leaders from across Africa to examine the links between policy and practice in fragile, conflict-affected contexts. The course was previously run by Responding to Conflict and we will be hosting it in collaboration with Coalition for Peace in Africa this year. The course will be led by conflict transformation specialist, Dr. Simon Fisher.

The Strengthening Policy and Practice: Meeting the challenges of working in complex environments course draws on the experience and practice of professionals working in development, humanitarian aid or peacebuilding and aims to strengthen programmatic approaches to working in fragile and conflict affected areas. We would like to invite any staff of international agencies, those with advisory and management responsibility for relief, development and peacebuilding programs and all other practitioners looking to develop effective approaches to peacebuilding, development and post-conflict reconstruction to apply.

You can apply online via the Peace Direct website or via email at courses@peacedirect.org. Further information on how to apply can be found in the attached document.

If you are interested in applying we look forward to receiving your application soon.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I’m very keen to attend the training in Nairobi having worked in the north rift and northern Kenya in peace building. Is training free or sponsored? And if not are there scholarship for application? Kind regards.David.
